REACH-IT news

New version of REACH-IT
27/05/2025

New version of REACH-IT was released on 27 May, with the following features:

- IUCLID format changes adaptations.

- New list number format.

New format for list numbers
14/05/2025

The main substance identifier in REACH-IT is EC/list number. List numbers in their current format, xxx-xxx-x (where x = numerical digit), are soon running out. After external consultation and careful consideration, ECHA has decided to change the list number to alphanumerical format, keeping the original length.

Example of the new format: A00-000-0

This change will take place during early summer. Note that the change may affect your company’s recording systems outside REACH-IT

Annulment of C&L notifications for registered substances
12/03/2025

If you have active C&L notifications submitted on behalf of a group of manufacturers or importers (group of MIs) for substances that you have also successfully registered under REACH, these C&L notifications will be annulled as of July 2025.

To avoid the annulment, we recommend you to contact the other notifiers in your group of MIs and agree who takes over these notifications. This can be another legal entity, which does NOT have an active registration for the substance. The relevant C&L notification can be assigned to the new lead notifier using the legal entity change functionality in REACH-IT. This transfer can be done free of charge any time before July 2025.

Once the status of your C&L notification has been changed to annulled (after July 2025), it can no longer be transferred to another legal entity. In this case, a new lead notifier must submit a new C&L notification on behalf of the group of MI.
